KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- University of South Alabama’s
Tim Williams has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District Second Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Williams, a junior from Pontiac, Mich., receives his second postseason award after being tabbed to the All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team.
One of two players to rank in the conference’s top 10 in both scoring and rebounding, Williams led the Jaguars with 15.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He recorded 20 or more points a team-best nine times and scored in double-digits 19 consecutive games.
Starting all 32 games, Williams made a team-high 45 3-pointers and was second on the squad in assists (68) and steals (34).
South Alabama went 17-15 on the season and finished fifth in the Sun Belt East Division with an 8-10 record.
