MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama junior Romain Bocaert fell to No. 1 seed Vladimir Obradovic in the finals of the qualifying round at the ITF Futures Tournament at the Mobile Tennis Center Monday.
“Against great players like today, it is hard to play catch up and win the match,” USA head coach Nick Brochu said. “Overall, it was a great tournament for Romain and the USA men's team. It was great competition and good preparation for our conference shootout starting on Friday.”
No. 583 Obradovic, who also downed USA’s Christian Kuehne and Hanno Bartsch, defeated Bocaert in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Up next for the Jags is the Sun Belt Shootout on Apr. 2-4 in Troy, Ala.
