MOBILE, Ala. – For the 11th-straight year, University of South Alabama women’s basketball head coach Rick Pietri will open his summer camp schedule this weekend, beginning with the first of two team camps on Friday.  The first Team Camp will run through Sunday and will be the first of five camps throughout the month of June.

On Monday, campers will report for the beginning of the Individual Camp (June 7-10).  The four-day camp will run from 8 a.m. – Noon each day and is open to grades 2-12.  Tuition for the Individual Camp is $115.  Instructional group sizes are small so that instructors can focus on skill levels and give an attention to detail. 

Following the second Team Camp (June 11-12), Pietri will hold his Shooting Camp, June 21-23.  Instructors will show exercises to help improve form, technique and footwork on shots, as well as instruction on free throw shooting.  The Shooting Camp is also open to grades 2-12 and will be held from 8 a.m. – Noon each day.  Tuition for the Shooting Camp is $90 with a $50 deposit due on June 11.

The Elite Camp closes out the month of June and will be the final camp in the series.  The Elite Camp helps players develop sharper skills and prepare for the varsity level.  Registration is open to players grades 8-12 with two different tuition packages offered.  Tuition for those needing to stay overnight is $185 with an $85 deposit, while tuition for campers planning on commuting each day is $145 with a $70 deposit.  Both deposits for the Elite Camp are due by June 17.

Campers will be grouped by age, size and skill level.  All camps will be held in Jaguar Gym on the South Alabama campus. Grade levels are determined as of Fall 2010.  Camp forms can be downloaded at www.usajaguars.com.
