MOBILE, Ala. – Not only will the University of South Alabama football team take part in its first scrimmage on Saturday, the day will also mark the initial opportunity for supporters of the program to meet and greet the Jaguars.

“Fan Day” will be conducted at Ladd-Peebles Stadium Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., and is set to involve two hours worth of activities.  The event is free and open to the public, and parking in the stadium lot will also be free of charge.

Gate 2W will be the only available entrance to the facility, which will be opened in time for fans to catch the second half of a two-hour scrimmage.  Following the scrimmage, head coach Joey Jones, his staff and the 2011 Jaguars will be available to sign memorabilia and take pictures with USA fans on the field.

Members of the USA Athletic Ticket Office staff will be on hand with information on season ticket and flex plans as well as individual game tickets, and there will be a “select your seat” opportunity for fans too.  The USA Bookstore will be selling JagWear merchandise and tailgating supplies including the official 2011 NIKE South Alabama football jersey.

Parking is encouraged on the west side of the stadium as only the west grandstands will be open for “Fan Day.”
