USA FOOTBALL HAS TWO MORE TELEVISION APPEARANCES NEXT MONTH

The Jags will have two of their four October games televised, it was announced on Wednesday.

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama football team will have two more televised games in the next month, Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann announced Wednesday in addition to kickoff times for all four of the Jaguars’ October contests.

The Jags’ first game of the month, at Texas-San Antonio on Oct. 8, will be carried on the Longhorn Network — which is available nationwide on Verizon FiOS TV — and start at 4:30 p.m.  One week later, the Homecoming game Oct. 15 originally slated to begin at 4 p.m. against Tennessee-Martin will instead kick off at 2:30 p.m. on CSS and UTV 44, and will also be streamed live on the web on ESPN3.com.  CSS is is available through Comcast, Charter and other cable providers from Texas up to West Virginia and Virginia, while UTV 44 services Mobile and Pensacola.

USA appeared on UTV 44 and ESPN 3 the opening weekend of the season, when the Jaguars defeated West Alabama at home, and Saturday’s matchup with North Carolina State can be seen on ESPN3 as well.

The other road game of October, at Georgia State on the 22nd, will begin at 2 p.m. Central time, while the Oct. 29 contest against Henderson (Ark.) State at Ladd-Peebles Stadium is slated to start at 4 p.m.
