With a 20-foot par putt on the 72nd hole, former Jag Heath Slocum wins the Barclays — the first event of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs — and $1.35 million with a 9-under-par 275 total, finishing one shot ahead of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington and Steve Stricker.  It was the third of his four career PGA Tour victories, helping Slocum finish eighth in the final FedEx Cup standings at the end of the season.  The first All-American in program history, Slocum has posted 34 top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour while his best result of the 2013 campaign was a tie for 30th place at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February.
