In the summer of 2004, the University of South Alabama undertook a renovation campaign to make Stanky Field one of the most impressive facilities in the nation. The multi-million dollar transformation has put South Alabama baseball among the top facilities in the nation. South Alabama dedicated the newly-renovated stadium against perennial power Mississippi State on April 19, 2005, in front of 3,277 fans - the largest crowd of the year.

The new Eddie Stanky Field has one of the most impressive press boxes in the nation. Wireless internet access, as well as spacious work areas, can accommodate large numbers of media.
The second floor Stadium Club is a beautiful gathering place for South Alabama supporters. Air conditioned comfort, along with leather couches and chairs, make watching USA baseball a first-class experience. The USA Dugout Club hosts gatherings in the Stadium Club throughout the season. A bronze statue of Eddie Stanky, also dedicated in 2005, greets fans at the entrance to Stanky Field.

In 2011, both dugouts were renovated, the outfield wall was replaced and a collar around home plate was added. Additionally, both bullpens were moved into foul territory down the left and right-field lines. A Jaguar baseball alumni deck was constructed behind the left field wall to allow former Jag baseball student-athletes a place to gather and socialize while watching the game. Prior to the 2012 season, the outfield wall was upgraded with new padding. Stanky Field hosted the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Championship, which marked the 11th time it served as the site of the league's tournament.

On Feb. 4, 2005, the USA Baseball Clubhouse was officially dedicated and renamed the Jon Lieber Clubhouse, in honor of the former South Alabama All-American pitcher. Lieber has made numerous contributions to the South Alabama baseball program, and this facility proudly bears his name.

South Alabama unveiled its new baseball facility in 1996, built with donations from former players and the hard work of current players, that honors the past, present and future of Jaguar tradition. The beautiful 4,000-square foot facility is more than just a locker room. It’s also an impressive display of the tradition of South Alabama baseball.

The Clubhouse features a spacious locker room and an entertainment room equipped with a flat-screen, high-definition TV, stereo, leather couches, trophy cases and a full kitchen.

Renovations made prior to the 2012 season featured 35 new player lockers and a new floor in the Jaguar locker room, along with newly renovated offices for the coaching staff.

In the summer of 2000, the finishing touches were put into place for South Alabama's beautiful new Indoor Hitting Facility. Located next door to the USA Clubhouse, this 8,000 square foot building is one of a kind. It features three hitting stations, two pitching mounds and a locker room for umpires. The facility is also large enough to conduct infield practice.

Several Jags now in the pros stop by during the offseason to work out in the facility. On days the Jags experience cold or wet weather, the batting facility is the ideal place to practice.

On Feb. 4, 2005, the Jaguar indoor hitting facility was officially renamed the Luis Gonzalez Hitting Facility. Gonzalez, a South Alabama great and World Series hero with the Arizona Diamondbacks, has given generously to the USA baseball program and conducts himself as a complete gentleman both on and off the field. In the summer of 2017, the facility received numerous upgrades:  new turf and cages, indoor turf mound, fans, and new umpire locker room among other amenities. For that, this beautiful facility bears his name.
