MOBILE, Ala. | Coming off one of the best showings in program history a year ago, South Alabama women's golf will look to build off that success with a challenging schedule during the 2025-26 slate as released by head coach Marcelo Huarte on Thursday.
Of the compete in nine regular-season tournaments, three are hosted by Southeastern Conference opponents, while South will also host a tournament during the Spring at Magnolia Grove.
The Jaguars will compete in the first of four fall tournaments on Sept. 8-9 when they head to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete in the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational hosted by New Mexico at the UNM Championship Golf Course. South Alabama then heads to Toledo, Ohio, to compete at the Inverness Intercollegiate held at the Inverness Club (Sept. 15-16), the site of the 2027 US Women's Open.
The second month of the season will see South return to the course on Oct. 5-7 to compete at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship hosted by Tennessee at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. The Jaguars will then close out the fall portion of its schedule two weeks later at the Evie Odom Invitational (Old Dominion) and held at the Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va. (Oct. 16-18).
The spring portion of the schedule will see South Alabama compete at five more events before jumping into the postseason. The Jags will remain in the "Sunshine State" for their first three tournaments, competing at the PDI Intercollegiate (UCF) at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. (Jan. 25-27), at the UNF Collegiate (North Florida) held at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. (Feb. 23-24), and finally at the Gators Invitational (Florida) held at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. (March 6-8).
After not hosting a home tournament a season ago, South Alabama is scheduled to host the Magnolia Collegiate at its home course at Magnolia Grove Golf Course on March 16-17.
The Jaguars will close out the regular-season portion of their schedule at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Course (March 28-30) hosted by Georgia at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
The 2026 Sun Belt Conference Championship is again set to be held April 20-23 at the Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Ala. NCAA Regionals will be held May 11-13 at sites to be determined during the NCAA Selection Show, and the NCAA Championship will take place May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
